I have banked here for several years, opened a joint account when it was still West Coast Bank with my daughter who was 5 at the time. I have been pretty pleased with banking here in the past, but was disappointed when they took away Saturday hours as I cannot get to the bank between 9-5 on weekdays due to my own work schedule. However, I went to close my account this week for a few reasons and was totally frustrated with the service today! I used this account for my daughter's private schooling funds, but she turned 18 and graduated this year, so I don't really need it anymore. I was going to keep it, but then found out they started charging me a monthly fee when my daughter turned 18. I was not given notice about this change (well maybe 13 years ago when I opened the account?) and didn't notice it for a few months as statements only come every 3 months. I don't use bank accounts with monthly fees, so that is the reason I went to close it since I don't really need it anymore. The teller that helped me (and I didn't catch his name as he was not wearing a name tag or have a name plate at his station) was totally inept! I had called ahead of time to see if I could close the account without my daughter there as she is away at college but is on the account. I was told I could. The teller first tried to give me the wrong amount of remaining money in the account. Then when he went to give me the right amount, he took it back and said he couldn't give it to me, he could only give it to my daughter! Both of our names were on the account. The amount left in the account was very minuscule, but he and the manager refused to give it to me. I had to settle for a check made out to my daughter. Not only that, but it took FOREVER to close the account as this teller didn't have a clue what he was doing. He had to ask a teller next to him and a manager at least 3 times if he was doing it right. How difficult can it be to close an account?

Parking is horrible at this branch. Their interest isnt the best anymore. They are quite competant banking wise with a wide range of services. They seem more professional/formal then other banks.

Parking can be tough at this center but finding out employees have been provided parking across the street, one can ascertain Columbia Bank employee parking is more important than it's own customers or others who frequent the shopping center. I am taking my banking elsewhere!

Glad I no longer bank at Columbia Bank.
