Don't waste your time on Safeway's new delivery service. I live in Washougal but was told my groceries were supposed to be picked up from this specific store and that they have 4 vans that deliver from this store.
I ordered my groceries on 10/09 to be delivered between 11a-1p on 10/10. 3:40p rolled around and STILL NO DELIVERY. I called customer service and was on HOLD FOR 17 MINS before speaking with a human. Absolutely terrible. After some more hold time I find out my order that was GUARENTEED DELIVERY between 11a-1p hadn't even been picked up yet at 4pm. At that point I was offered to just keep waiting, schedule redelivery or cancel.
ordered my daughter's first birthday cake from this bakery 3 weeks ahead of time and left a picture for them to go by. All I wanted was all of a couple colors changed to different colors. the guy who placed the order wrote it all down I verified my order the monday before pickup, when I got there they couldnt find the cake and when they did it wasn't what I was expecting for sure. asked for gold.frosting and got mustard yellow, the 1st on the cake didn't have the 'st' after the 1, had 2 other unsatisfied experiences with this bakery won't be going back again.
Standard Safeway. The meet department actually has a butcher and will cut something the way you want. I got a tomahawk steak cut 4 fingers thick and have had them cut me 2.5 inch thick rib eyes before.
There bakery is wonderful. I ordered ny sister's birthday cake from there. I was a bit difficult about it but they were very accommodating.
Pricey, needs improvement on meat department, service less than great, long lines. Confusing sales.
I cancelled and I will NEVER give this service another try, not even for $20 off, and you shouldn't either cause you'll never see your groceries anyway.
