Terrific place to put your SUP in the water and a great beach for a picnic.
My wife and I kayak here. It's not the greatest place to kayak in the world, but it is very nice. Easy launch point right from the beach and most days there are hardly any other boats on the lake, which is nice. Entrance staff is very friendly. Good family friendly environment overall.
Summer Picnic from work. It is a nice park. All the normal things that a park has.
Great for the kids. Groups can have big picnics. Shallow warm water, no toys. Not much special to offer but not too busy, no crowds
Parking is $3, but can get an annual pass for $30, and it is good for several parks. We went on the 4th of July, and even at the busiest time there was plenty of room, and the water was not crowded. Beautiful views, and we had a great time on the water. There are even some trails to go hike on.
