Bathrooms are always clean. Staff is always smiling and accommodating.
Arrived on a Sunday morning and expected to wait a while due to the crowd waiting outside. Checked in and the host said about 20 minutes. She was wrong and that was good, only 10 minutes tops. Excellent start!! We got seated and our server, Andrea, helped us out within a minute, served us water and asked us if we wanted anything else to drink. She came back after a few minutes to see if we were ready and we weren't, so she came back about two minutes later and took out order. Food came out on a timely manner and it was love at first sight. Good size portions (on diet, leave now!), and food was tasty. I ordered the almond crusted French toast combo. Outstanding!!! Prices are not bad for the portions.
My feeling after eating here was: meh. It was not terrible, but there are better options for breakfast in the area. The service was slow, but once we finally did order the food came out relatively quickly. The way the restaurant is ran seemed very chaotic, with the hostess looking all around the restaurant for a clean table each time a new set of guests came in. The food was just okay. I had a chocolate chip pancake which had so many chocolate chips in it that it was not edible. I did have a bite of my partner's regular pancakes and they tasted fine. The eggs and hash browns I had on the side were fine, but nothing special for a breakfast restaurant.
Overall it was great. Only complain, because no one is perfect, is the coffee is too light for my taste. I like the bold flavor and the coffee they serve here is probably a light medium. For others, coffee might be good though, for me, a little light. Will definitely return though.
I’ve been going to this place a few years now, not because the food is good but because the staff is very nice and it’s convenient (not many options near where I live). I ordered the cinnamon roll French toast, usually pretty good, but they used to slice the Roll thinly so that it would soak up the egg batter and cook like French toast is supposed to. This time they just took a cinnamon roll and fried each side. It was basically like eating a thick piece of cinnamon bread, nothing like French toast at all, Totally dry! Anyways, the rest of the food is pretty bland. The portions are good the staff is great and the prices are sort of high for a diner and the food taste quality. I think this place’s popularity stems from the lack of choices in the area.
Enjoy the food and the service here. Always a great experience. Family friendly and reasonable prices for a good meal. It's always crowded because it's so good. It would be great if they could expand or stay open later.
My husband and I have eaten here a few times now and we have never been disappointed. There is even a gluten free menu with delicious pancakes and french toast. You will leave happy and full. The most difficult decision will be what to choose.
